Sweet Corn Care and Recipes

 

Fresh Michigan Sweet Corn

- Bring water to a boil
- Drop in husked corn
- Cook 3 minutes
- Does not have to reboil
- Do not let corn stand in water
 
Freezing Sweet Corn
- Husk fresh sweet corn
- Bring water to a boil
- Drop in husked corn for 30 seconds in boiling water
- Immediately rinse in cold water
- With sharp knife scrape kernels off of the cob
- Place in quart size freezer bags, leaving no head space
 
Roasted Sweet Corn
- No need to soak fresh picked corn
- Place fresh corn in husk on the grill.
- Roast turning often until husk are steaming hot - about 5-7 minutes.
- Husk and serve.
