Peas

Fresh Shelled Peas

Unfortunately, we will not be having Peas this year.

Hopefully, mother nature cooperates next year!

Generally, Peas are harvested mid to late June.

How To Care for Your Fresh Peas

Freezing

Wash Peas.  Bring water to a boil.  Drop peas in boiling water for 30-45 seconds (blanche).  Drain in a colander.  Rinse with cold water.  Pat dry.  Place in one quart freezer bags getting all air out of freezer bag.

HINT: If you have a vacuum sealer just wash peas and place in sealed bags. No need to blanche. How easy!
